In collaboration with wrecking/demolition contractor Pas-Coy, Boiler Supply Company is involved in an energy use reduction project to replace outdated units with four 80,000 lbs/hour Industrial Watertube boilers equipped with Economizers and two Cleaver Brooks Tray Deaerators.

Client Testimonial

“If properly maintained, the life expectancy of the boilers to be removed is between twenty and forty years. Like computers, new technology makes the replacement boilers so much more efficient, with greater fuel savings and less maintenance required. There’s no telling how much will be saved in operational costs or how long these energy savers can last.” - Mike Lawson

Clark Atlanta University – Atlanta, Georgia

In order to save money by reducing energy costs, Clark Atlanta University (CAU) teamed with two Atlanta-area firms, ESG (Energy Systems Group) and Griffith Engineering, to develop a dual-fuel system that allowed switching between electric and natural gas fuel depending on utility rates. Power costs are monitored for the following day and a decision is made between the two fuel sources based on a computer cost model.

Boiler Supply was contracted to install a Cleaver-Brooks/AMCE Electrode boiler and two Nebraska Industrial Waterlube boilers. The installation and startup was completed in four months.

Client Testimonial

“The process of working on the specification and sale of the CAU project was most enjoyable. The end user listened to our equipment recommendations to use proven quality and buy from a source with local support and service to help care for the long-term use of the boilers. The electrode boiler technology is impressive, with the unit’s capability to go from low fire to full capacity in 90 seconds. The Nebraska boilers were designed to fit in the old existing space and use all the latest energy saving features and reduce emissions at the plant.” - Marc Vepraskas
